She was responsible for the day to day running of the USA, Europe, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Mauritius and Seychelles departments. During this period she was also responsible for booking and controlling of flight allocations for these departments as well as escorting groups on travel agents educationals.
After being approached by Golf Adventures International, Kathryn decided to assist them in the setting up of their reservations office including employment and training of staff. She was responsible for negotiating rates with golf courses and resorts, hotel chains and airlines.
In 1999 after being approached by Thompson’s Tours, the largest tour operator in South Africa, Kathryn joined them as Head Of Department for the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. Later moving across to running the department for Europe, Ski, Mediterranean and Middle East.
In 2004 Kathryn left Thompson’s to start up Good To Go Trading a tour operator specialising in travel to Mauritius, Africa, Europe and the Far East.
